Helena has extensive experience in Education, Biologie and Chemistry and is currently finishing her doctorate. She is passionate about dancing, especially salsa, and helping people.
Helena finds dancing wonderfully fulfilling and effective in enhancing dancers wellbeing, regardless of whether the dancers are refugees, wheelchair dancers, blind or deaf dancers.
About dancing, she says “Dance is a way to connect with others but also yourself, to express and share emotions, a bridge between seen and unseen world and a great technique to release stress and bring balance in life. Everyone can dance, and the physical or mental state that limits the movement, the senses or the activity of the person should not be a barrier to the joy and happiness that dance brings. You can dance everywhere, even in your own heart.”
She wants nobody to be left out.
